Free cad openscad2/2/2024 The upper toolbar has all the necessary tools for modeling. We have already mentioned its user-friendly workspace featuring options, such as: zoom, change of angles, camera control. The program interface is divided into modules, such as “Drawing”, “Rendering”, “Architecture”. In this software, you create a 2D sketch then export it to a 3D model. FreeCAD will be good for beginners of 3D printing. Using it, we can design small parts as well as an entire building. We open our rating with a free program with a simple intuitive interface available even for commercial use. What is unique about it: wide possibilities of parametric modeling The use of such programs requires professionalism and at the same time gives more opportunities for solving complex problems that are not provided for by automated algorithms, but often without a clear reference to dimensions. Here we deal initially with a three-dimensional shape, and not with a flat pattern. The most time-consuming programs go beyond CAD and fall into creative 3D modeling. More sophisticated programs allow you to develop a 3D object based on existing standard models. The simplest computer-aided design systems are aimed at creating two-dimensional drawings and related documentation. The advantage of such software is in the accuracy of calculations required in mechanical engineering or in the design of technical elements where exact dimensions are important. The software automatically does all mathematical calculations, making it easier for engineers, designers and developers to handle their job. It is based on a two-dimensional technical drawing of an object. The technology works on the principle of geometry. CAD software allows you to model an object from a headphone wire clip to a rocket launcher. This technology has essentially replaced freehand drawing. The most popular software of this kind is CAD (computer-aided design). In this article, we are going to review programs of both a basic and a professional level to help you acquire proficiency in the creation of models for 3D printing. Without it, you will be unable to use your expensive equipment, which will turn soon into a useless toy to be covered with dust in a closet. Modeling is one of the most important skills for 3D printing.

Duke vlad crown trick2/2/2024 It was decided that a fight to the death in single combat between Vlad Dracula and Vladislus II would settle the question of who was the true Voivode, Vlad Dracula won.īelow is a circa 1506, fresco of Vladislus II. On July 22 1456, leading a small army with Hungarian assistance, Vlad entered Wallachia and was intercepted by Vladislus II's and his men. Diplomatic reports refer to him as "Dracula", and two remaining letters, from the 1470's, have Vlad signing them either "Dragula", or "Drakula". However, is formal signature was Wladislus Dragwlya.Īfter overthrowing Vladislus II, no relation, Vlad III first ruled Wallachia, but only between October to November 1448, after which Vladislus II returned to power and Vlad Dracula went into exile in Moldavia. Their imprisonment lasted for five-years and is the main cause of Vlad's hatred for the Ottoman Empire.Īfter the death of both his father and elder brother, Vlad Tepes became Vlad III. In 1442 both Vlad and his younger brother, Radu cel Frumos were held prisoners of the Ottomans (The Turks) to permit their father to have the Sultan's help in regaining his throne. The title "Dracul" comes from being a member of "Societas Draconistarum (Society of the Dragonists)" and receiving "The Order of the Dragon". This monarchist society was founded in 1408, and owed its allegiance to "The Holy Roman Empire". He was probably born in 1431, after his father settled in Transylvania, now a part of Romania, to the east and south Transylvania's natural borders are the Carpathian Mountains, to the west the border is the Apuseni Mountains, and the northern border is Hungry. Vlad Tepes was the second son of Vlad II, Dracul (Vlad the Dragon), ruler of Wallachia, now part of Romania, located north of the Lower Danube, and south of the Southern Carpathian Mountain range.

Voodoopad examples2/2/2024 While I don’t pore over research papers anymore, I do deal with a menagerie of documents-drawings, photographs, videos, test reports, deposition testimony, presentation slides, email trails-that are increasingly in some sort of electronic format. This is so much better than simply searching through abstracts or lists of keywords, all of which are words chosen by others.īut don’t just go by my description, read Walton’s own explanation of his system. The power of this system is that he can search through his VoodooPad document, which has his notes and therefore uses terminology that come naturally to him while searching, and when he finds what he’s looking for, he can click a link and be taken immediately to the right spot in the right paper. Each individual note in VoodooPad is linked to the page of the PDF to which it refers. So he has this VoodooPad document with his notes on the papers he’s read, which is nice, but that’s not the end. The Markdown is then turned into a new page in a VoodooPad document. When he’s done reading a paper, he runs an AppleScript that goes through the PDF and creates a Markdown document with all the paper’s annotations listed by page number and organized according to category (summary, reference, result, etc.). This may sound like nothing more than a digital version of Post-it notes, but Walton has an amazing trick up his sleeve. He adds color-coded annotations to the PDFs as he reads them: red for summaries, green for references, yellow for results, and so on. That research comes to him in the form of PDFs of journal papers. As a scientist, a good portion of his time is spent analyzing and synthesizing the research of others. To be sure, Walton’s system is highly tuned to the specifics of his profession. If you can listen to that 8- to 10-minute stretch without being inspired to improve your own methods for managing the flood of information in your job, then you’re dead to me. Shortly after the 24:00 mark in the latest episode of Gabe Weatherhead’s Generational podcast, Gabe’s guest, Walton Jones, starts talking about his system for annotating and summarizing academic papers.

Tubeex or bluex tree tubes2/2/2024 They were similar to the Protex in how I dealt with them as they came in sheets and are meant to wrap around.ĭifferent tubes have different characteristics as those above demonstrate. This is fine if the tree is a whip, but once branching starts, you can't easily remove and reinstall them. The Plantra tubes come properly vented and are quick to install, but they slide over the top of the seedling. I used a drill press to drill holes through the sheets for venting and closing them with cable ties. This wrapping design allows you to fairly easily remove the tubes by clipping the cable ties to clean out any debris and then reinstall them. I did not like the way the connected with flaps so I punched holes and used cable ties. They come as flat sheets that wrap around. They are some of the least expensive when you find them on sale. I've used Protex solid tubes that I vented myself. I uses them for chestnuts but use cages for apples. They are the least costly option to protect the central leader from browsing. It doesn't matter if you buy them vented or vent them yourself, but they need proper venting.įor me, the positives and negatives pretty much balance except for one factor, relatively inexpensive protection. Some trees do better in tubes than others. In other cases, they can do more harm than good. In some cases, tubes will promote growth with a greenhouse effect. If they are not tight to the ground, you can get just the opposite effect where the chimney effect dries out your seedling. Solid tubes can promote mold and fungus in some situations. The key is diameter and proper venting throughout the tube.

Week number excel formula2/1/2024 Starting in Excel 2013, there is a new function called ISOWEEKNUM.įor more details, see Ron de Bruin's nice write-up on Excel week numbers. Starting with Excel 2010, you can generate an ISO week number using 21 as the return_type: =WEEKNUM(date,21) ISO week numbers, start on the Monday of the first week in a year with a Thursday. This means that the first day of the year for ISO weeks is always a Monday in the period between Jan 29 and Jan 4. With a return_type of 2, week 1 begins on January 1, and week 2 begins on the next Monday. See the WEEKNUM page for more information. WEEKNUM takes two arguments: a date, and (optionally) return_type, which controls the scheme used to calculate the week number.īy default, the WEEKNUM function uses a scheme where week 1 begins on January 1, and week 2 begins on the next Sunday (when the return_type argument is omitted, or supplied as 1). Excel stores dates in a serial date format. DATE (B5, 1, -2) WEEKDAY (DATE (B5, 1, 3)): It returns the last Monday of the previous year. Formula ISOWEEKNUM(date) Where date is a required argument. After changing the format, perform these. The function was introduced in MS Excel 2013. Then in the next cell, A2, type this formula A1+7, and press Enter key to get the second date. The ISOWEEKNUM Function in Excel is a Date & Time Function used for finding out the ISO week number of the year for the given date value (e.g., week number 37 of 52 weeks in a year). The WEEKNUM function starts counting with the week that contains January 1. To fill date weekly, you can apply a simple formula. The is supported in Excel 2023 and later, and Excel 2011 for Mac and later. w - A numeric representation of the day (0 for Sunday, 6 for Saturday) z - The day of the year (from 0 through 365) W - The ISO-8601 week number of year (. The WEEKNUM function takes a date and returns a week number (1-54) that corresponds to the week of year. To get the ISO week number (1-53) for a date in cell A1, use ISOWEEKNUM( A1 ).

Please note that you must breed the dragons with the level requirements for a chance to get the them. People were complaining they could not complete their dragon collection. This is the newest group that is released by Social Point. Pure Dark is the only one that has 2 heads. Mirror + Mirror = Pure Legendary + Crystal = Pure To get the pure elements, just use the generation 1 dragons and breed it with the Pure Unicorn get the respective elements. The new breeding time for legendary dragons are 2 days and 6 hours.īreeding Pure Dragons These can be breed using any of the 4 legendary dragons. Since the July 2013 Light/War update, you will need to breed the pure or pure hybrids together for a chance to get the legendary dragons. These dragons are extremely powerful and useful in dragon city battles. There are also plenty of other combinations that will give you the rare hybrids. Photon(Light+Electric) + Rattlesnake(Nature + Dark) = Fallen Angel Petroleum and Pirate dragon are now regular hybrids after the Light/War update of July 2013. Poo is no longer a rare hybrid and is actually an exclusive dragon. Any War hybrid and Sea hybrid will also yield the same result. Red Woods + Petroleum will give you a shot at Leviathan. Medieval(Flame+Metal) + Alpine(Terra+Ice) = Armadillo or Cool Fire or Soccer The above combinations is what I would use to get the rare hybrids.įirebird(Flame+Nature) + Star(Terra+Electric) = Gummy

Obsidian scalpel electron microscope2/1/2024 With its rigid, crystalline structure and strong, covalent bonding, quartz (Mohs 7.0) is considerably harder than obsidian (Mohs 5.0-6.0). The specific gravity of quartz is 2.65 that of obsidian ranges only between 2.4 and 2.5. But the looser atomic packing and random molecular arrangement in obsidian’s amorphous structure make it less dense. In quartz’s orderly crystalline structure, close atomic packing maximizes density. Despite somewhat similar compositions, obsidian is about 10% less dense than quartz. However, quartz consists entirely of silica, while obsidian consists primarily of silica. Obsidian was initially thought to be a form of quartz. Obsidian forms only in conditions that permit immediate cooling, such as at the edges of lava flows or where lava has extruded directly into lacustrine or marine water environments. When saturated with gas bubbles and almost foamy consistency, extruded rhyolitic lava solidifies into pumice, a very porous rock that is sometimes light enough to float on water.įinally, when rhyolitic magma is extruded in conditions that result in extremely rapid solidification with no time at all for crystal development, the product is obsidian or volcanic glass. Rhyolitic lava that is extruded onto the surface, where rapid cooling restricts crystal development, solidifies into rhyolite, a fine-grained, crystalline, extrusive rock. When intruded into existing rock formations where it cools slowly, rhyolitic magma crystallizes on a mineral-by-mineral basis to form coarse-grained, crystalline granite. How Obsidian Formsĭepending upon how quickly it cools and solidifies, rhyolitic lava can form four types of rock, all with identical chemistries, but differing radically in appearance and physical properties. Also present are varying small amounts of water, as both attached water molecules and vapor, trapped within tiny cavities. Its average composition, expressed in oxide content, is 75% silicon dioxide (silica) 14% aluminum oxide (alumina) and about 2.5% each of calcium oxide, sodium oxide, iron oxide, and magnesium oxide. It consists primarily of silica, with smaller amounts of feldspar, ferromagnesian, alkali, and alkaline-earth minerals. Obsidian is an extrusive igneous rock that formed from the solidification of rhyolitic (silica-rich) lava. Because obsidian is amorphous and has an indefinite composition, it is correctly classified as a mineraloid-a mineral-like material that does not satisfy the definition of a mineral. Minerals are naturally occurring, homogenous, solid materials of inorganic origin with definite chemical compositions (within limits) and ordered crystalline structures. Understanding Mineraloids This large Apache tear, still in its perlite matrix, shows a pronounced conchoidal fracture pattern. Eye surgeons and neurosurgeons today use obsidian microblades that are sharper even than the finest surgical-steel scalpels. The sharpness of an expertly flaked obsidian edge cannot be overestimated. Because of this razor-sharpness, along with its abundance and workability, it was a vital material in many Stone Age cultures. The flaked stones in the macuahuitl, which the Spaniards described as “sharper than a blade of Toledo steel”, were made of obsidian.įlaked obsidian has by far the sharpest edge of any natural material. In the words of Bernal Diaz del Castillo, one of Cortez’s soldiers, a macuahuitl in the hands of skilled Aztec warriors could-and occasionally did-completely sever the heads and legs of the Spaniards’ horses. This 4- to 5-foot-long piece of wood, similar in shape to a large broadsword, had a two-handed grip and grooved edges set with pieces of flaked stone. But there was one Aztec obsidian weapon that the Spaniards dreaded-the macuahuitl. When the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortéz confronted the Aztecs in 1519 in what is now Mexico, horses, steel swords, and firearms gave his soldiers a decided military advantage. Power of Flaked Obsidian Pin this post to save this information for later. Obsidian is also a gemstone and an ornamental stone, and it has a rich history and lore-quite a resumé for a material that does not even qualify as a mineral. Obsidian’s ability to take an edge is only one aspect of this remarkable material. These 1-inch Apache tears are surrounded by a mass of gray perlite.

Photox hearing aides2/1/2024 “Generally, people with mild hearing loss run the risk of experiencing a blockage with in-the-ear style hearing aids that interrupt access to natural hearing. Smaller ears have more limited space, and an in-the-ear style hearing aid may provide a more comfortable fit. People with small ears may also benefit from this style of hearing aid because they require a certain amount of space between the head and the pinna (the shell of the ear) in order to remain tucked comfortably back there. Soiles, specifically noting that people who struggle to use face masks while wearing hearing aids or a person who wears glasses might also prefer this type of hearing aid. “Anyone who has difficulty keeping a hearing aid from falling out from behind their ear would be a good candidate for an ITE-style hearing aid,” says Dr. Who Might Benefit Most From ITE Hearing Aids? Telecoils allow users to hear phone conversations as well as sounds in public facilities like schools, airports and churches, thanks to separate special sound systems known as induction loop systems. Some ITE aids also have telecoils, which are small magnetic coils of copper that can pick up electromagnetic signals. “One of the greatest advantages of ITE hearing aids is their larger batteries with longer battery lifes.” Additionally, most ITE hearing aids feature Bluetooth compatibility, she notes.” “These hearing aids pick up sound from the microphone that is sent through an amplifier and into the ear canal,” says Dr. ITE hearing aids are designed to fit inside your ear completely. A half shell takes up less space in your ear than a full shell hearing aid. ITE hearing aids are available in two different sizes: half shell and full shell, adds Amy Sarow, a Michigan-based audiologist. Instead, everything is self-contained within a custom-made shell that is inserted into the ear canal. ITE hearing aids do not feature a component looped behind the ear, says Dr. Located in the ear canal, these devices consist of a microphone, amplifier and receiver that reproduce sounds at different frequencies to improve hearing. “ITE hearing aids are a certain style of hearing aids that are custom-made to fit inside the lower portion of the ear,” says Leslie Soiles, chief audiologist at HearingLife.
